I travelled to India in March 2007 with a project of the Spanish Federation of Jesuit Alumnae. There I visited in schools of rural zones and was working with disadvantaged children. It was amazing to see them to smile knowing the real conditions of the life that they had. Very hard experience, but at the same time very enriching and unforgettable.
March 12th 2008 I spent a day in Paris. A long journey in which I visited all the monuments, buildings and best-known parks of the city. I will have to return in another time calmer to enjoy more this country.
I have visited this country several times. In August 2004 the University of Oviedo gave me a grant for a Tamdemkurs in the Rühr Universität of Bochum (where I took advantage of my time to visit Dusseldorf, Dortmund, Cologne ...). In October of 2007 I came back to spend few days in Frankfurt in order to practice my german. The last visit was in February 2010, when I spent a week of holidays in Berlin.
In November 2011 I visited the area of Cappadocia (Anatolia), Ankara and Istanbul. In the first part only remark the Fairy Chimneys (Hoodoo). Istanbul is a wonderful city along the Bosphorus with many things to visit: Hagia Sophia, Sultan Ahmed Mosque, Topkapi Palace, the Cistern, Grand Bazaar and Spice Bazaar. Cappadocia and Hoodoo and lots of photos and recommendations of Istanbul on my blog.
In July 2009 I travelled to this European island, which is divided in equal parts between the Tectonic Plates of Europe and America. In fact, the culture is similar to the American in some aspects. The cities have not too much what to visit. The best is to make excursions to the impressive volcanic nature of this island to see the volcanos, geisers, waterfalls, glacials and lava mountains.
I travelled from the 6th to 8th of March to the "Pearl of the Danube" to attend another Assembly of the European Confederation of Jesuit Alumnae. On Friday we had more playful plan visiting the city and having a boat trip by the Danube. Budapest surprised me pleasantly, as I didn't expect so wonderful and monumental city.
This it is the country, which I visited more times in my life. In 10 occasions since 2005 I spent holidays in this Baltic republic. Small but very pretty country with a fast economic and social development. As they well say, "Lithuania is the country of the good beer, rich history and the beautiful women (among others things)".
In April 2012 I traveled to Italy to participate in the Jeep Challenge in Balocco circuit. Then I stayed few days in Bergamo, Verona, the city that I liked the most, Maranello and Milan. The landscape and villages of the north are very nice and traditional. Il Duomo in Milan, awesome. Italian food is spectacular and it was lucky enough to drive a Ferrari California. Further information from the trip to Italy en my blog.
I traveled from Amsterdam to Dublin in a Spyker C8 Aileron (also on the Eurotunnel train and ferry) to attend the event Babaria City Racing Dublin. The Irish capital is a beautiful city with typical Georgian architecture, many churches and parks. I recommend buying a ticket for the tour in green buses, not red, to visit all the city with stops in every representative of Dublin. And yes, I drank enough beer.
In Summer 1999 I was 5 weeks with my American family in Medford, Wisconsin. It is a state full of forests and lakes where the fishing and aquatic sports are very common hobbies. There I go my peculiar American accent when I speak English. We also did a trip to visit the family, who lievs in Ohio (I passed next to the jail where Prision Break was filmed).
In September 2001 I travelled by ferry to Poole in order to spend few weeks with an English family. It cuts stay in which I did not leave barely of the town and that I utilized to improve slightly my English accent. En Septiembre de 2001 viajé en Ferry hasta Poole a pasar unos días con una familia inglesa. Corta estancia en la que no salí apenas del pueblo y que utilicé para mejorar ligeramente mi acento inglés.
In March of 2008 I was one week in Brussels. Two things surprised me: it is a dirty city and the enormous building of the European Parliament where the politicians go to "to while away the time". I also visited Antwerp and Bruges (this last one has pretty old quarter). Data of interest: it rains a lot and during all the year.
Weekend of 17th to 19th of October 2008 was celebrated in Vienna the Assembly of the European Confederation of Jesuit Alumnae. Few days with a lot of work and meetings in which I almost hadn't free time to visit the city. I was impressed by huge palaces, the building of the Parliament, Opera House, ... I would like to go back soon.
In August of 2004 I arrived from Germany by train to spend a weekend in the capital. Amsterdam is very pretty architecturally speaking, as well as the channels with a lot of small boats. The rest: drugs, prostitution and delinquency. The famous Red-light district is a Dantesque spectacle. At night the streets are full of pushers. A city that is worth to visit... during the day.
In July 2006 I spent a weekend in this Baltic country. I visited Riga, the capital, an interesting city, which mixes numerous buildings of Art Nouveau style and the architecture of 19th Century. I had also some time to enjoy the long beaches of Jurmala, the summer destiny of every Latvians.
In February 2012 I traveled to Andorra to participate in the Audi Driving Experience. It was an Audi driving course on ice and snow in Grandvalira ski resort. I drove an Audi TT Coupe and Audi A5 in extreme conditions. I stayed couple more days and enjoy snow skiing. Video summary of the event Audi Driving Experience Grandvalira and more information of Andorra travel in my blog.
I visited the neighboring country in some trips: holidays, sports tournaments and a European Congress of Jesuit Alumnae.
